Product insights
Generates editable, step-by-step CAD build sequences in seconds, at a fraction of the time and cost Skyfall measured for frontier LLMs.
Language models are strong at text and code but weak at the geometric, long-horizon reasoning needed to design physical objects part by part.
Mechanical and hardware engineers, CAD and BIM teams, architects, digital-twin builders, and manufacturers exploring AI design automation.
No public pricing yet. SKY-001 is in research preview, and Skyfall targets commercial deployment in early 2027. Skyfall reports about $0.005 per CAD case in its own benchmark.
SKY-001 is Skyfall AI’s engineering world model. It turns a text prompt or image into a hierarchical CAD assembly with step-by-step build operations, and building outlines into BIM layouts.
Give SKY-001 a text prompt or a single image of an engineered product, or a building outline for BIM.
It generates rough 3D options, then breaks the chosen design down into assemblies and parts, down to screws and fasteners.
Each part comes with ordered sketches and extrude or cut operations that can be viewed and edited in CAD tools such as Autodesk Fusion.

Skyfall AI, led by Sam Pasupalak, Kaheer Suleman, and Sumit Pasupalak, who previously built Maluuba, the deep learning lab Microsoft acquired.
In Skyfall’s own CAD benchmark, SKY-001 scored 79.7% IoU in about 3.9 seconds at roughly $0.005 per case, versus 79.1% for GPT-6 Astra in about 199 seconds at $0.75. These are self-reported results; no public evaluation set has been released.
Not broadly yet. It is in research preview with no public API or open weights, and Skyfall plans commercial deployment in early 2027.

SKY-001 is an engineering world model from Skyfall AI, a San Francisco and Toronto lab founded by members of the Maluuba team that Microsoft acquired. Announced on October 19, 2026, it takes a text prompt or a single image and produces a hierarchical CAD assembly: a parts tree plus the ordered 2D sketches and extrude or cut operations needed to build each part. It can also turn a building outline into a BIM layout of units and rooms. It is in research preview, with commercial deployment targeted for early 2027.
